The working principle of the commutator: The commutator is the original part of the DC permanent magnet series motor in order to allow the motor to continue to rotate. Structurally, the commutator is a circle surrounded by several contact pieces, which are connected to each tap on the rotor respectively, and two electric brushes are connected to the outside to contact with it, and only two of them are contacted at the same time. The commutator is two copper half rings with a notch in the middle. The direction of the current is changed by the commutator and the commutation effect of the brushes. 4.
